Cream Shoes
If you like the somewhat neutral colors that cream shoes offer you, then you're sure to like our selection of cream shoes. They are easy on the eye, easy to match and can look stunning when matched correctly. But as a color, what is cream exactly? Well its not white, its not beige and it certainly isn't a light brown. Cream actually describes the color of the diary product, cream (Wiki).
This cream comes from the uppermost layer of milk and it is best described as white with a tinge of yellow. But for all intents and purposes, you can treat cream shoes like they are white. As such, they do very well with bright colors. Since most bright colors are worn during the warmer months, cream shoes are perfect for summer and spring. They also complement darker skin tones very well. If you have a dark complexion, these shoes are quite stunning. The one color that goes very well with this color is its opposite, black. Cream shoes with black accents work very well together.
There are some things you should never do however. If you are planning on using pantyhose with cream shoes, stay away from pantyhose that are white or black. Despite the fact that these types of colored shoes look stunning and done right, they are not all that easy to match. Darker colored shoes are much easier in that respect (Black, dark blue, brown etc). But they can be fun and a step out from the norm. First, you need to know what type of cream shoes you are thinking of getting because there are a wide range of choices on the market from sandals, heels, edges, stilettos, kitten heels, trainers and much more.
For that classic sexy look, stick to high heels or stilettos. They go great with a stunning dress and even a pair of blue jeans. For those looking for just as much spice in their outfit but are unwilling to put their feet through the rigors of high heels, there are always kitten heels. Kitten heels are actually low heeled stilettos, 3 inches or so and below in fact. They still retain the great style of heeled footwear but are much easier to walk in. Another alternative to kittens are cream wedges.
Unlike heels, wedges combine both the sole and the heel in a single manufactured piece. For that reason, they are some of the most comfortable shoes as far as heels go. Balancing issues are almost eliminated with wedges so you'll be able to walk much easier in them. Of course, wedges are somewhat like platforms in respect to the added height they offer to those that are looking for a boost in that department. If you aren't concerned with added height, then you can go for cream flats, sandals or trainers. A good pair of trainers is by far the most comfortable variant of the group.
While white trainers are very common, cream trainers are not. The same applies to sandals as well as flats. Many manufacturers probably choose not to produce them in large numbers because they are so similar to white. Of course, cream shoes do have their downsides. They do require regular maintenance as they can get dirty very quickly. And the sight of a dirty pair of cream shoes is never a good thing.
